An Ambitious Group Working to Connect Technology and Medicine

Welcome to the official website for the University of Pennsylvania’s eMed Club. eMED is an engineering club for pre-med students and for engineers who are interested in learning more about the intersection of medicine and technology. We hold events to share advice about the pre-med experience and to learn more about the medical profession.

Our club was founded in 2006 by an engineer who realized that there was a growing number of engineers who wished to enter into the medical field who lacked a support network and guidance. Since then, eMed has hosted numerous events geared towards helping all pre-med engineers on their path toward medical school.

Join us at our next Doctor Dinner!

eMED (Engineers in Medicine) invites you to our monthly Doctor Dinner over catered dinner! In this intimate, small group session, doctors and healthcare professionals from various fields discuss their research, lifestyle, and the course of their pathway to becoming involved in healthcare. This month we are delighted to welcome our guest, Dr. Stephen Hunger. Dr. Hunger, a specialist in children’s cancer, serves as Chief of the Division of Oncology, Director of the Center for Childhood Cancer Research, and holder of the Jeffrey E. Perelman Distinguished Chair in the Department of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, PA. We hope to see you there!

Dinner will be provided!
